Player Owned Ports Stats Table

Introduction

Managing your Player Owned Port can be a tedious process, requiring a high degree of planning to improve your chances of success. This guide gathers the stats of crew, ship components, buildings and effects to help you in your work as portmaster.

Crew

Crew form the backbone of your fleet, helping to boost your ship stats in a single aspect. They are much cheaper to buy than ship components, but consequentially have the potential to be lost through voyage failures.

Traits

Traits are unique abilities that each crew member possesses, which perform special functions such as improving stats or increasing XP gained on voyages. After hiring a crew member, they may be randomly allocated a trait. Captains may possess up to four traits, as well as multiple instances of the same trait (e.g. two copies of Eager, providing a +80 bonus to Morale).

Some traits only start appearing after you progress further into the East. Additionally, some traits are unique to certain types of crew and will not appear on any other crew (e.g. a Golem cannot have the Solidarity trait).

Ship Components

These ship components can be used to modify the different parts of the ship. When you purchase an upgrade, the component becomes available for all ships in your fleet. Unlike crew members, these upgrades are permanent, and can provide hefty bonuses in a single stat or healthy bonuses across a range of stats.

Each section of the ships caters towards different stat boosts:

  • The Rudder section deals exclusively with boosting Speed. These components are the cheapest to upgrade; however, they will only influence the duration of your voyages, and not your success rate.
  • The Rams/Figureheads section deals exclusively with boosting Combat and Morale. This section's components are relatively cheap to upgrade, though the stat boosts they offer are small and focus on a single stat.
  • The Deck Items section deals with boosting Morale, Combat and Seafaring. This section's components are more expensive to upgrade, and their boosts focus on a single stat; however, the boost they offer is relatively large and good for their pricing. Additionally, you can have up to two deck items on a ship, meaning that a single upgrade can boost a single stat a great amount.
  • The Hull section boosts all your stats, and each component additionally caters to further focusing on a single stat. While the boosts offered are great and across all stats, this section is the most expensive to upgrade.
