Habitat	Ancient mages can be found in the Ancient Prison, which is located within the God Wars Dungeon.

If you aren't wearing the full ceremonial outfit, this is one of the creatures you slay for your kill-count to access Nex. If an ancient mage attacks you it is suggested that you kill it before any other foes that may be attacking you at the time.

Ancient mages use spells much like the ones from the Ancient Magicks spellbook. In addition to doing damage, their spells can lower your melee stats, poison you, freeze you in place, and steal life points from you, causing the ancient mage to heal. The poison starts out hitting for 88 damage. Praying against magic will negate any direct damage caused by the spells, but will not protect you against the secondary effects!
