Correction:

Goraks are typically first encountered during the Fairy Tale II - Cure a Queen quest. Their attacks are powerful and accurate, and praying against melee does not offer any protection. Each time a Gorak lands a damaging hit, you will lose at least one level in a random skill.

Goraks drop uncut gems far more often than other monsters do. They also drop Gorak claws, which are used to make Magic essence potions.

*The long, sharp claws are a special item dropped after completion of the Fur 'n' Seek quest.
