Uses	Wielded in the shield slot. Can also be used to preach various passages in addition to reading blessings, last rites and wedding ceremonies aloud. 25% of a player's special attack bar is expended for each recital.
Notes	Illuminated prayer books are crafted by first placing a one of the six completed Horror from the Deep prayer books on the book-making table at the Citharede Abbey, and then copying the text, embellishing the initial capitals, adding colour, and adding gold leaf at a cost of 200 prayer points per step. If you do not have 800 prayer points or higher you must restore your prayer points before finishing, as attempting a step with less than 200 prayer points or attempting the same step twice will ruin your progress forcing you to start over. When you first craft this book you receive 10,000 Crafting and Prayer experience. The following messages can be spoken aloud by operating a Prayer Book: Blessings: "For thy task is lawful, May the blessing of Armadyl be upon thee." Last Rites: "Thou didst fight true, but the foe was too great. May thy return be as swift as the flight of Armadyl." Wedding Ceremonies: "As ye vow to be at peace with each other, And to uphold high values of morality and friendship, I pronounce you united in the law of Armadyl." Preachings: "To those cursed by war and pest, Come into the light of Armadyl and rest. This is the law of Armadyl." "Thou shalt fly like the bird, Not like the rock. This is the law of Armadyl." "Peace shall bring thee wisdom; Wisdom shall bring thee peace. This is the law of Armadyl." "Do not let thy vision be clouded by evil, Look up, for the truth cometh from the skies. This is the law of Armadyl." "It is honourable to resist, And fight for what thou believe is just. This is the law of Armadyl." "Thou shalt avoid war; but, if thou must fight, Believe, and thou shalt strike true. This is the law of Armadyl."
