Examine	A device for firing dye.
Location	Find the broken device by searching the chest in the basement of the mourner's headquarters in West Ardougne where the head mourner is after talking to him during the Mourning's Ends Part 1 quest. You need to be wearing a complete mourner's outfit and have the mourner's letter to enter this building. Search the Head Mourner's desk to find a tarnished key. Use the key to open the jail cell to the south-west where there is a gnome on a rack. Talk to the gnome on the rack and repeat what he just told you. Then use a feather to tickle his feet twice. Click on the rack to release the gnome from the rack. With a soft leather from a tanned cow hide, a magic log and a toad crunchie purchased from the Gnome stronghold (Grand Tree) in your inventory, he will fix the broken device.

Uses	Use an Ogre bellows from the Chompy Bird Quest with blue, yellow, green, and red dye on swamp toads at the chompy bird quest area (Feldip Hills) to make a blue toad, yellow toad, green toad, and red toad. Use each of the dyed toads with the fixed device and paint the four different groups of sheep from the Sheep Herder's Quest the correct colour by wielding the fixed device and blasting them.
Notes	Can be re-obtained by searching the chest again during or after the quest to obtain the broken device and repaired again. After the quest the fixed device has no use, but it makes an amusing toy to shoot dyed frogs at other players even though it does not paint them.
