Examine The holy book of Guthix.
Location A reward from the Horror from the Deep quest, after adding all 4 pages to the Damaged Prayer Book of Guthix.

Used in
Uses Can be used to bless Holy and Unholy Symbols (level 50 Prayer required). 6 Prayer points are expended for each blessing.

Can also be used to preach various passages in addition to reading blessings, last rites and wedding ceremonies aloud. 25% of a player's special attack bar is expended for each recital.
Notes Once added to the damaged books, the god pages cannot be removed.

If a book does not contain all 4 corresponding pages, then the stat bonuses (other than Prayer) will not be rewarded.

Should you lose a book, talk to Jossik in the Lighthouse - he will tell you he found it on the beach and will hand you the book with your pages still in it. If you want a Guthix Book, but already have a Saradomin and/or Zamorak Prayer Book, you can buy the Damaged Prayer Book of Guthix from Jossik for 5,000 coins. However, this can only be done if the book(s) you already own have been completed.

The following messages can be spoken aloud by operating a Prayer Book:

Last Rites: "Thy death was not in vain, for it brought some balance to the world. May Guthix bring you rest."

Wedding Ceremonies: "Light and dark, day and night. Balance arises from contrast. I unify thee in the name of Guthix."

Preachings: "A journey of a single step, may take thee over a thousand miles. May Guthix bring you balance."
