Uses:	This item is used as a weapon for mid and high level rangers. Shortbows can shoot slightly faster than longbows, but they cannot shoot as far. Maple is the highest bow that can be used on free servers. Can also be used to light fires if you have completed the relevant sections of the barbarian training.
Notes:	This item can be fletched by cutting a maple log into an unstrung maple shortbow, and then adding a bowstring, which requires level 50 fletching (members only). You need at least level 30 range to use this bow.
