For the last week we have been busy trying to get the new forum ready for use.

We are currently waiting for all the old posts to be rebuilt (have their bbCode/smilies etc. updated to what IPB uses), this process does take a while and we will keep you updated on how it progresses.

We are working on getting the new forum up as soon as possible and we apologise for the amount of time it has taken thus far. None of us were expecting it to take this long and we\'ve done everything we can to speed the process up as much as possible. However, for long periods of time the amount of time which the process has taken has been completely out of our hands.

The Crew has several updates for you this week:

• Information on the new sawmills has been added to the Woodcutting Guide. Check it out if you want to get started.
• The Keldagrim Map has been updated. It now includes the new Keldagrim North Mine with lots of high level ores like runite, adamant and gold!
• Our Hunter Calculator is now equipped to handle the use of Stealing Creation Tools. Keep your eyes peeled as more calculators and planners are converted.
• Tip.It\'s World Map (4.2MB) is now up to date after the changes made to the game these past few updates, more notably the changes made around Lumbridge and area.

As always, if you\'d like to comment or correct our content, feel free to leave a note in the Website Updates and Corrections forum. It is advisable to wait until the forum conversion has finished, or your correction may vanish due to the rollback before we can get to it.

Lastly, the latest issue of the Tip.It Times is now available. After reading through your favourite articles, feel free to provide your opinion on our discussion thread.

Tip.It has gotten an interview with RuneScape Developer Mod Rathe, the developer behind the Living Rocks Cavern update last week. With this interview came a couple more pieces of Jagex concept art, this time featuring Rock Elemental creatures.

The interview and concept art can both be discussed in this forum thread. A new discussion thread will be made and linked to when our IPB forums go live.

We\'d like to apologise for the downtime during the forum conversion. We were given an estimate of around 2 days, which turned out to be too low for the amount of processing needed. The conversion is complete, but the new forum (IPB) will need configuring. This should take a few days. The final version of the new forum will include everything from the old forum as of last week.

Per our plan, the old forums (phpBB) are back online TEMPORARILY (forum topic.) Keep in mind that anything NEW done during this time will be LOST when we do the final changeover. This includes new posts, topics, changes to your profile, new member accounts and such. As the general announcement says, if you are posting anything you want to save for the new forums, make sure to keep a copy of it. Anything new will be LOST.

We\'ve received more news from IPS. Here is our current forum conversion status as of 3:45 PM GMT.

\"Posts are almost done converting now. The convertor has been running 24/7, but as you can see, progression is not linear. Not much to go to finish up hopefully. IPS estimates that the conversion will be complete tomorrow.\"

As of last night, here is the forum changeover status:

19-Sep-09 11:48pm GMT - \"All user profiles have been converted, along with quite a few other things, these were completed during Thursday and Friday morning. For the past 24 hours the converter has been working solely on converting posts, and it\'s now at around 65% completed (roughly 2.4 million posts processed).\"

We cannot give an expected time from this information, but the forums will be back as SOON as we can get them back. We will try to provide fresh updates as they come in.

Despite the forum down time, the wonderful Tip.It Crew has been hard at work, continuing to improve the website! Here is what we\'ve been doing this past week.

• The new Living Rock Cavern Map is now available! More information on the new Living Rocks can be found in our Mining Guide.
• The monsters residing inside the Living Rock Cavern now have database entries in our Bestiary, found here. When slain, these beasts give you a chance to get a hold of a new item: Living rock minerals.
• Swimming around the pools of the cavern are the new Cavefish and Rocktail. Consult our Fishing Guide and related calculators for more information.
• Two new features have been added to our Quest Guides: Advancement Information and an Alphabetical Index! The Quest Advancement Information is located at the bottom of every quest guide and shows you which quests list the quest you are viewing as a requirement. The Alphabetical Index is on the main Quest Guide menu and lets you jump to all the quests starting with a specific letter.
• Every shop in RuneScape has been revisited after Jagex\'s September 2nd shop update. As such, our entire Shops Database is now completely up to date. Corrections can be submitted from each shop entry or through the forums once they return.
• Lastly, our Site Map has been redone with categories to make it easier to find what you are looking for!

With the recent forum downtime, we would like to stress that the Saradomin godwars dungeon is STILL going to happen, 9PM UK Time Saturday 19th September. As we have no access to the forums currently, we will be using the database to update the world, 1 hour before we start the event. You can access that here.

We have also provided the attire links that weren\'t previously on the Database. As the forum thread is inaccessible, those who need to be put down early should contact a TET member either via IRC or In-game. The TET Member list can be found in the Tip.it Events team section of the website and the IRC page can be found here. You can access TET\'s channel by using the command /join #tetpub

A date has now been set for the conversion to take place, the forums will most likely go offline tomorrow night (Wednesday) GMT, and will return some time on late Thursday GMT.
