Hello fellow runescapers!

As previously announced by grin_king on 25th September, Eeeeediot has recently stepped down as Crew Leader and I have been asked to take over. First, I'd like to thank the Tip.It Admins for this wonderful opportunity, and I'd like to wish Eeeeediot well on all his future endeavours. Eeeeediot, you will be greatly missed and it's because of your hard work and dedication that Tip.It has become the excellent site it is today. Good luck, E!!!

I'd like to reassure all of you that although Eeeeediot has left some mighty big shoes to fill indeed, I welcome the opportunity to rise to the challenge. Believe me when I say that I will do my best to make sure that Tip.It continues to be one of the best Runescape fansites on the web today!

Tip.It Crew Leader

Well, it's been quite a while since an announcement of this type was made (thankfully). It is a slightly sad announcement, as Eeeeediot, who has led the Crew now for quite some time, is stepping down in order to spend more time on "real life" stuff.

On behalf of the Crew, and the rest of the Tip.it staff, i'd just like to thank Eeeeediot for his tireless hard work and commitment he has shown to the Tip.it community as a whole. Sad to see him stepping down, but it's for the right reasons.

In his place, I'd like to introduce Kiara_Kat as the new Crew Leader. I'm sure she'll do a great job as Leader, and will continue to help keep Tip.it as the best RuneScape fan-site out there!

A map of Tzhaar has been released which we hope you will find useful, it can be found under our Special maps. We have also added an interactive Agility Arena map (pop-up) that should help those of you who enjoy training there. It can be found within our Agility skill guide and is an extraordinary feature. Regrettably, there won't be a Tip.It Times article for this week but it should be back next week. Sorry about that.

Lastly, I am stepping down as Tip.It Crew Leader. It's been an enjoyable and hectic six months and I'm sure many of you appreciate the developments the site has undergone. Rest assured Tip.It will only continue to improve as the crew continue their hard work. The new Crew Leader will be announced in due time. Farewell.

The Cooking skill guide has been updated with the latest changes. The Agility skill guide has also been updated with information about the latest shortcuts. To compliment these, our interactive RuneScape world map and several dungeon maps have also been updated to show the shortcut locations using this icon:

Two people have recently joined the Tip.It crew, namely Chaosbringer and Sepiroth23. A warm welcome to both who will help to update the site. Lastly, the weekly article for the Tip.It Times has also been released on a Thursday as promised. Enjoy the read and keep checking back.

Today features the release of our latest Mini Game guide - the Blast Furnace. Use it wisely with our Keldagrim city map to help you along with your smelting and smithing.

The Editor has also released the third edition of the Tip.It Times. For those of you haven't familiarised yourselves with this unique feature yet, it was released three weeks ago and features a weekly article usually released on a Thursday. Go on - have a read and don't forget to check it out regularly.

We've compiled a quest guide for today's Garden of Tranquility quest to help you on your adventures. We hope its useful and as usual, feedback is always welcome.

Our Skill Calculators have been redesigned to be more useful and more user friendly - we hope you make use of them. You will also notice the new and unique Skill Planners. This feature works in the opposite way to the normal Calculators. You can input what items or actions your are going to do, and it will tell you how much XP you will gain and how many levels. Thanks to a user who suggested this idea a while back on the forums.

Lastly, in response to some feedback, we have changed the pages with many links, such as the page where you choose a skill guide to view. The links are more differentiable and should be more user friendly. Happy scaping.

Well as you can see, we've finally released that exciting new feature we'd been promising you - namely the Tip.It Times! It should make an interesting weekly read for sure.

We have re-arranged the navigation links down the left to be more logical and easier to use. Please take a minute to get used to them. If you still can't find what you're looking for then use the Search box on the right. You'll also find that we have split the old Other Guides into General Guides and Mini Games.

We have updated our Combat Calc so that it is virtually accurate every time for melee based players - the output as well as the predictions.There are now two new Mini Games guides for your viewing pleasure:

• Tai Bwo Wannai Clean Up
• Rogue Trader

Finally, we have added a new Special Maps section to our Atlas. With this, comes our new Isafdar & Arandar map whichshould be very helpful. We hope these updates are helpful, and don't forget to keep checking for an exciting new feature later this week. As usual, please feel free to contact us with feedback about these updates or post on the site related forums.

After a few days of working on the back end of the server, the problems causing the downtime appear to have been resolved - so we should now be able to enjoy the forums in a more stable environment.

Never know - they might even be a little faster ;)
