New Maps & Updates! »

Hi everyone. I've got some updates to announce today - three brand new maps, one updated map, and one fully updated guide! Let's begin...

First, the new maps. You'll find these in two places...on the Dungeon Maps and Mining Sites pages. We've added a new Shade Tombs map to the Dungeon Maps page to help you navigate the dungeon so that you're more efficient collecting shade remains and burning them. As for the Mining sites, we've replaced the outdated Lumbridge Swamps Mine map with two brand new, totally separate maps - Lumbridge Swamp East Mine and Lumbridge Swamp West Mine. Hopefully, this will help end any confusion about where to mine which ores in Lumbridge Swamp.

On to the updates...we have updated our Troll Stronghold Dungeon map to include the new "top" floor of the dungeon, and our Holiday and Rare Items guide has been fully updated to include the most recent holiday items, as well as a new section on item retrieval.

Enjoy!

New Section! »

More new stuff to tell you about today! If you\'ve been paying attention, you might have noticed the addition of a brand new section in the links area along the left-hand side of the page. Do you see it? Sure you do! Look harder...under the GUIDES heading. There ya go! Yes, we\'ve added a new Monster Hunting section to the site. This page will include links to a series of new guides we\'re planning, guides to help you kill the nastiest monsters in RuneScape. We\'ve got one guide up for you already, and we\'re planning to add lots more! So if you need any help planning your trip to the Dagannoth Kings and would like to increase your chances of getting out alive and in one piece, then the Dagannoth Kings Guide is just the ticket you need. Thanks to oddfaery2 for writing this guide for us.

We hope you enjoy this new addition to the site, and keep an eye out for more new \"how to\" monster hunting guides coming soon! Of course, we welcome your feedback, so if you\'ve got any comments to submit about the new guide, you may do so here.

In other news, we\'ve added Costume Room information to our Construction Guide, so be sure to check that out as well. I\'d also like to take this opportunity to publicly thank the Tip.It Crew for all their hard work over the past while. Your dedication and good work are very much appreciated by the entire staff, and I\'m sure, the whole Tip.It Community. Keep up the good work!

Happy monster hunting!

New Maps & Updates »

Hi folks. Yesterday, I announced new guides, today, it's maps! That's right, we have two brand new maps to help you find your way as you explore all the nooks and crannies the ever-expanding RuneScape world has to offer. First, an addition to our Dungeon Maps - here you'll find a new map of the Dungeon of Tolna, which is home to a number of mid-level monsters. Good for training if you're not experienced enough to venture into harder dungeons.

You'll find our second new map on our Special Maps page. Our new map of Braindeath Island will be very useful to those of you who have not yet completed the Rum Deal quest. Also, this island is the only place in RuneScape that you'll find Fever Spiders, which are often assigned by some of the more challenging Slayer masters.

Lastly, both the Herblore Calculator and Herblore Planner have been updated to inlude blamish oil.

I'd also like to take this opportunity to welcome chenw, inferno_char and SaidinWot to the Tip.It Crew! On behalf of the entire Tip.It staff, I'd like to say welcome, we hope you enjoy your stay with us!

Additions & Updates! »

Hi fellow scapers! On Monday, I told you that we had some surprises in store for you this week, and I meant it. Today, I\'m pleased to announce the release of two brand new guides! The first, as I\'m sure you\'ve already guessed, is our quest guide for the An Enlightened Journey quest. So if you need some guidance or tips as you help Brother Auguste, the new quest guide is where you should start.

Second on the agenda is a follow-up guide to our Capes of Achievement Guide that was released on 25th October. As we were working on the new guide, we thought \"wouldn\'t it be cool to have a guide that has all the other capes in it and where to get them?\" Yup, that\'s what we\'ve done. So if you ever need any information about the various capes and cloaks available in RuneScape, including XP details, price and yes, where to get them, our new Capes Guide will tell you everything you need to know.

Oh, and as usual, we welcome your comments about our guides. If you have any comments or corrections to submit about the An Enlightened Journey quest guide, you may post them here. Submissions concerning our new Capes Guide may be submitted here.

Last, but certainly not least, I\'d like to let you know that we have updated our Construction Guide to include pictures of all the servants, and our Woodcutting Guide now includes information on jungle types and machetes. We\'ve also re-configured our Family Crest Dungeon Map page -- it has a new name, the Family Crest and Slug Menace Dungeon map, and as its title implies, we have added a map of the lower level Slug Menace Dungeon. We hope the new map will help you as you travel into the dungeon to battle the Slug Prince as part of the Slug Menace quest.

We hope you enjoy the new additions and changes, and stay tuned for even more to come!

Monday Poll & Surprises »

Happy new week all. As usual, we have a new poll for you today. This week, we'd like to know which part(s) of our Tip.It Forums you like best and/or use the most. Please take a moment to cast your vote for your favourite. Thanks to Tip.It Community member Kill_Life for suggesting this topic.

Also, I'd like to let you all know that we've re-designed our Thieving Calculator and Thieving Planner to let you select what type of thieving you're working on. You now have the option to select pickpocketing, stalls or chests when using the calculator and planner. We hope you enjoy the new format!

Have a good week everyone, and stay tuned for more important announcements later this week - more brand new guides are in our plans, and I've heard that our Editor is working on an ultra-special Tip.It Times this week, something about the Editor's identity? Hmmm...I wonder what it could be???? Maybe it has something to do with that debate about the "Mysterious Editor" that's taking place in our General F2P forum as we speak? I guess we'll all have to wait until Friday to find out!

Happy RuneScaping, everyone!

New Tip.It Times & more »

Happy Friday everyone! Yes, it's time to announce our weekly publication of the Tip.It Times. This week, our mysterious Editor looks at one of the most often discussed topics on our forum boards - begging. Please take a few moments to read this week's article, On Beggars and Begging..., and see if you agree with our Editor's viewpoint.

On another note, our Prayer Guide has recently been updated, so if you haven't looked through the guide in a while, you might want to check it out. We've added all kinds of information on shade cremating, as well as some other goodies....

Finally, don't forget about tomorrow's TET-sponsored event, Help The Wizard And Snowball Fight. This is a F2P event, so everyone can join in! The event is a treasure hunt of sorts, which requires you to venture across the lands of RuneScape to find items after you have successfully decrypted the riddles provided by your TET host. And yes, the winner of the event will receive a prize. The event starts at 10:00 PM (UK Time) on the 3rd floor of the Wizard's Tower, so be sure to be there on time! For more information, including start times for other time zones, visit the Event Details page.

Have a nice weekend all!

Will you use Menaphos to train your skills?
