Tip.It Times »

A new issue of the Tip.It Times is available.

This week in the Times, Racheya writes about the recent Crafting Urns update in "An Urn-est Attempt" and in his article, "Dying Content", Logdotzip takes a look at how some content in Runescape is rarely used, dead, even fairly recent updates.

We have a fictional article this week by ForsakenMage, the continuation of the 'A Day in a Life' series with: "A Day in a Life in RuneScape #3: Walter Fairweather". Walter Fairweather is a travelling merchant who ventured to the Wilderness in search of a better future for his family, instead he comes across something a little... chaotic.

A Gaggle of Updates »

February has been a big month of updates, most notably with the re-introduction of the Wilderness and Free Trade. Here are some of the major things we have accomplished over the past couple weeks and some information on upcoming updates.

  • Crafting Urns: All the information you need on urns has been added to our Crafting Guide. Additional information on urns for each individual skill (Cooking, Fishing, Mining, Prayer, Smithing, Woodcutting) can be found or will soon be found within their respective skill guides.
  • Gamers' Grotto: A map has been released for the Gamers' Grotto north of Falador, the new home to Stealing Creation, Fist of Guthix and the Clan Wars lobby.
  • Full Wilderness Map: A brand new map of the entire Wilderness has just been released. Our Wilderness map shows all monster and item spawns with links to all corresponding bestiary entries, sub-maps, dungeons, guides and more! Not to mention the overlay showing all multi-combat areas so you don't get PWN'D by a group of PKers while you're going to fight the Red Dragons. Corrections for the Wilderness Map are always welcome and can be posted on this forum topic.
  • F2P World Map: We have completely updated the map that shows the entire world available to free to play users, minus the Wilderness. This map contains links to all dungeons, shops entries and much more that F2P users are able to access. You may find the F2P world is bigger than you originally thought! As with the Wilderness Map, corrections are always welcome and can be posted on this forum topic.

Some upcoming updates:

  • Forinthry Dungeon: Information on the monsters that lurk this dungeon can be found on the map page. The map will be completed very soon. Update: This map has been released!
  • Revenants Monster Hunting Guide: Since Revenants have been moved into a new dungeon and no longer roam the Wilderness, a new monster hunting guide is being built and will be released as soon as it is completed.
  • Full World Map: We intend to release our updated full world map some time before the end of this weekend.

As always if you come across anything that is inaccurate or that is not working anywhere on our website, we'd love to hear about it. Let us know using the appropriate submissions forum.
