Tip.It Presents: RuneScript »

Tip.it is proud to announce our official partnership with the RuneScript project!

RuneScript is a free service that allows users to view information about RuneScape on IRC, MSN, AIM, and Y!IM, with no additional software or downloads required. It's as simple as adding another buddy to your contact list. The project is an automated chat client (or "bot") that analyses RuneScape highscores and uses extensive databases to give RuneScape players helpful information without the need to load webpages. For example, you can send a request ("command") to RuneScript on MSN that will show you the combat level of the RuneScape player you specify. RuneScript has over 100 commands and features that people can use to do everything from tracking experience gains on RuneScape, to telling you what the weather is like in your home town, to quickly giving you the answer to your latest RuneScape Treasure Trail clue.

This is a very exciting opportunity for both Tip.It and RuneScript to benefit the RuneScape community by offering a fast and easy way for users to view data that Tip.It makes available. Our regular IRC users will already recognize RuneScript from our chat room, and if you have yet to try it, we suggest that you take some time to take a look at the service RuneScript offers.

The RuneScript project has already collaborated with Tip.It in the past, in the form of a joint-hosted event with TET, as well being the exclusive RuneScape bot in our chatroom for a very long time. This next step in our partnership opens up many more possibilities as we work exclusively with RuneScript to open our data in more efficient and user-friendly ways.

So, if you think you'd be interested in seeing how much an item costs on the GE, seeing what clan a player is associated with, or seeing how many more yew logs you need to fletch before you level up, head on over to www.rscript.org and take a look for yourself! A permanent link to our new partner can be found under the TOOLS category on the menu to the left.
