I dont know what is a problem with runescape.com but we are reciving 3 - 4 emails a day that people cannot connect.

Problems are probably caused as RS server IP changed frequently this last days and many nameservers are very slow to update its tables. Many are asking what is a name server it is a service that you use when you are looking to translate domain name like runescape.com in its IP number, like today RS IP 66.28.11.51. If your computer cannot get working IP number it simply cannot connect.

There is also some programs (specialy this for making faster your connection) that change hosts file in your windows directory and add line like this,

runescape.com xxx.xxx.xxx.xx

If you have this line in your hosts file you can try to delete it or update it with new IP. (use simple texteditor)

To find new IP on windows you can run from dos window or command line when internet conection is active this command..

tracert runescape.com

then you wil see someting like this

tracing route to runescape.com [66.28.11.51] ...
...
...

This number in bracets is new IP number of RS server and if it is wrong you cannot connect to game.

But before trying all this you can try to download client from, at last today working, link ---> DOWNLOAD NEW CLIENT
