Ourania Cave

Ourania cave belongs to Zamorak Magical Institute, and it is the location of the ZMI altar. You can craft all kinds of runes here, even soul runes. The runes you get are random, though. The higher your runecrafting level is, the better your chance to get more of the higher level runes.

The entrance to the ZMI altar is at the chaos altar west of Khazard battlefield. Lunar Magicks users can use the level 71 Ourania Teleport spell to be transported to the ramp leading to the chaos altar. Upon descending into the cave, two different routes to the ZMI altar are available:

The long path is safe, but obviously more time consuming than the short route. The wall crack in the end of the long route requires no agility level.
The short path is more dangerous; there are many Zamorak warriors, rangers and mages there. There are also a lot of cave lizards, but if you have high combat, they shouldn't be a big problem. Zamorakian crafters also walk along the short route crafting runes for the ZMI.

There is a bank in the cave. You must pay a fee of twenty runes of any type every time you use the bank, so keep a reasonable stack of low level runes with you while runecrafting here.
