A Random RuneScape Christmas

Written by and edited by Tip.It

As I was sitting at my desk in Falador the other day trying to write another opinion article to get tongues a-wagging, I thought to myself, "Self, it's almost Christmas, and here you are, analyzing game play and JaGex initiatives and updates once again. Sorry to break it to you, Self, but it's started snowing outside and in the air there's a feeling of Christmas. Why not give your readers a little something special for the Holidays?" So I poured myself another cup of nog, started dusting off my Christmas music albums to see if I could get myself into the spirit and, lo, there it was. The Twelve Days of Christmas! I hadn't heard that tune since, well, never mind. But it did give me an idea...I put on the song, sat back down at my desk, put quill to parchment, and started writing.

Today's piece is what I came up with that cold, cold, evening a few nights ago. This little ditty is dedicated to everyone who's ever been interrupted at a vital moment in their game play by an unwanted Random Event, and especially to the players fishing with me at Catherby the other evening when several people got the same random almost simultaneously. We were surrounded by strange plants and drunken dwarves. To you, fellow RuneScapers, I dedicate this Christmas poem. If you're willing, you can even sing it to, you guessed it, the tune of "The Twelve Days of Christmas".
