DisinterestA featured article written by Master_Smither and edited by Kaida23As my first year in college gains momentum and moves into full swing, I have been pushed farther away from RuneScape than I expected. However, being an engineer and living in a nearly exclusive engineering dorm, the atmosphere of video games is all around; walking ten feet in to the next room yields a plethora of gaming systems and a computer with 10GB of RAM. In turn, gamers and therefore games are not hard to come by if I were ever interested. However, no matter how hard I look, I have found no one that has played RuneScape within the last couple years. It seems as if the general consensus is that it is a baby game, a game they played when they were twelve and quit shortly afterwards. A fresh perspective on botsAn accompanying article written by Arceus and edited by ArceusAmong many high-level players in contact with it, the proposed ‘solution’ to what is ‘wrong’ with RuneScape is a nearly universal three-word phrase: ban the bots. Bots, they claim, are a problem because they ruin the RuneScape economy and ruin the game by cheating-hence they should be banned. But perhaps it is worth examining a different viewpoint-that bots are actually not the problem. Did you know…...you can hold a Dwarven Army Axe to light burners in your house. Saves one spot in your inventory! (Thanks to Neos_Matrix!) |
