Tip.It Times »

Happy Friday everyone! Being Friday, I'm certain you all know that it's time for our weekly Tip.It Times! Please take a moment or two to read and reflect on Growing Pains, our Editor's contribution to this week's edition of the Times.

And of course, it's also time for a reminder about this week's TET event. Join us tomorrow for a good old time as we celebrate St. Patrick's day, Tip.It style! Wear your green and bring your ales to our St. Patty's day bash, the St. Patrick’s Day Freak Train. The fun begins on world 96 at promptly 8:00 PM UK time, don't be late! This is an F2P event, so that means that everyone can join in! Check the Event Details Page for more information, including start times for other time zones.

A wee little leprechaun
Went out St. Patrick's Day.
To look for the gold that was hidden far away.
Over the rainbow was where he was told
So with a wink of his green eye
He ran to get the gold!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Hot Topic & More! »

Happy Wednesday everyone, time once again for our weekly Hot Topic. This week, we've selected a topic that will bring back lots of happy (or maybe not so happy...) memories for many of you. Remember the very first day you started to play RuneScape? Did you spend hours upon hours picking cabbages? Did you try to talk to the level 2 men walking around Lumbridge and wonder why they didn't answer you? Ahhhh....I'm guilty of both, I'm afraid! If you can recall the silly things you did when you logged on for the very first time, this week's Hot Topic is the place to share those memories. Please take a minute or two to read through the things others in the community have posted in What Did You Do On Your First Day On Runescape? then, if you're not too embarassed, go ahead and share your own experiences!

In other news, the Crew is happy to announce a brand new submission system for our Bestiary. As you all know, you can now send us your corrections and additions for our Items Database by clicking on the Submit Correction link in the upper right-hand corner of the item information page. Well, you can now submit changes, corrections, updates and new monsters for our Bestiary the very same way! Each monster information page has a Submit Correction link in the upper right-hand corner - so submitting monster information to us is now but a click away. We hope you enjoy using the new system.

We've also updated lots of our monster images to the most recent versions, including all the Pest Control images. Finally, due to popular demand, we've changed the Max Hit Calc so that selecting Dharok's Greataxe in the weapon category will only cause the helmet and body categories to be disabled if you select "yes" for the new "Full Barrows Set" option.

Monday Poll & Items DB Update! »

Hi folks, time for a new weekly poll. This week, we feature a poll about the gods of RuneScape. Please take a moment to vote. Thanks to Tip.It Community member superstyle4 for the topic suggestion. Once you've voted, you can join the discussion about this week's poll here. And remember, we're always looking for good poll topic suggestions. If you have an idea for a good poll that we haven't done yet, you can submit it here.

We've also made some changes to our Items Database. We've added a new stackable (yes/no) field to each item page, along with information related to the item's weight. A special thanks to manoman and darkblade986 for their help in gathering stackable/unstackable info for us. Remember, if you come across any item information that is outdated, incorrect or missing, including the new data on stackable/unstackable and item weight, be sure to use the Submit Correction link in the upper right-hand corner of the item information page to let us know. We are still looking for weight information on lots of items, so any good information you can provide is greatly appreciated. The best way to determine an item's weight is to put 20 of the same item in your inventory, then divide the total weight by 20.

Tip.It Times »

This week's edition of the Tip.It Times is up and available for your reading pleasure. This week, we feature a guest article written by our very own Ard_Choille! So please take a moment to give Guthix Skiller a read.

I'd also like to take this opportunity to remind all P2P players about tomorrow's TET event, Waterbirth Island & Laikrob's House. Please join us on Waterbirth Island tomorrow, Saturday 3rd March at promptly 8:00 PM (UK Time). Remember to bring some food and some sort of teleport in case you need to make a quick exit, and don't forget to leave anything you don't want to lose behind! Please see the Event Details page for more information, including start times for other times zones.

Happy weekend, everyone!

Weekly Hot Topic »

This week's Hot Topic has been chosen. This week, we thought we'd try a change of pace, and select a topic that's a bit more controversial than our usual fare...so without further ado, we present Is luring an acceptable practice? as our weekly Hot Topic. Please take a few minutes to read through what the community has posted in this topic and perhaps add your own comments and opinons to the debate.

New Content! »

The Tip.It Crew is proud to announce the release of a nifty new feature that we've been working on for a while now... a Pest Control Planner! You'll find the new planner on our Special Calcs page. We hope you like it. And remember, feedback is always welcome - if you have any comments and/or corrections about our new planner, you may submit them here.

Also, for you Barrows enthusiasts out there, we've added a new interactive map to our Barrows Guide. The new map has clickable links that show you how to use the various safespots in the mini-game, so if you need help figuring out exactly where to stand or how to use the safespots, give our new map a try.

Enjoy!

Will you use Menaphos to train your skills?
